Hello, and Happy Foraging Friday, Fam!
This week we're jamming on animal tracking, a new podcast episode, a blog about dental health, and edible landscaping in NY and FL!
Put your tiny finger on your tiny mouse and scroll, baby.
Welcome to Foraging Friday.

What We're Reading –
The Origin of Science: The Evolutionary Roots of Scientific Reasoning and its Implications for Citizen Science by Louis Liebenberg.
“Mutually beneficial species and even some that are hostile to one another are believed to be able to understand one another’s language, and some animals are believed to understand a certain amount of /Gwi. A limited amount of the language of some species, such as the alarm calls of birds, can also be understood by humans (Silberbauer, 1981).
Research suggests, however, that the sophistication of animal language has been underestimated. It has been found, for example, that vervets have different alarm calls for their three main predators: leopards, eagles, and snakes. Other vervets react to each type of call appropriately, each type of predator requiring different evasive action. This implies that vervets could be using symbolic language in which arbitrary sounds represent specific concepts or objects.” (pg. 81)
What We're Writing –
Endangered Edibles: Dental-health (Pt. 1). This blog post will be a series of posts regarding wild plants in the northeast and their uses in promoting dental health.

No doubt your next stop is the edible landscaping store for a fruit tree. Jokes (and props) aside – it's a legit feature on your landscape to help provide nutrition and complex movement to your family.
This is us waving goodbye (for now):
